About the flag
Fiji planned to drop the Union Jack from its flag in 2015 but abandoned the idea in 2016, so the British flag stays beside a shield showing a lion, sugar cane, a coconut palm, bananas and a dove.
How to spot it: Light blue with the Union Jack and a shield on the fly side; Tuvalu is also light blue but has yellow stars instead of a shield.
