About the flag
New Zealanders voted in two referendums in 2015 and 2016 on changing the flag, and chose to keep this one, showing the Southern Cross as four red stars.
How to spot it: Dark blue with the Union Jack and four red stars with white borders; Australia’s stars are white and it has a big seven-pointed star under the Union Jack.
