About the flag
It combines Denmark’s red and white cross with blue, colours associated with liberty through the French, American and British flags. It is sometimes called the mother of flags because others can be seen inside it.
How to spot it: Red field with a blue Nordic cross outlined in white; Iceland is the reverse, a red cross on blue.
